George Carlin was right about a lot of things, and way ahead of his time. He was a "classical" liberal as an American citizen and as a comedian, believed strongly in individual liberties, and had similar views to Bill Maher, John Stewart, and Dave Chappelle. In 1999, during his "You Are All Diseased" television special, Carlin had this to say about germs:

Carlin died in 2008. If he was alive today, he'd be frustrated as a comedian, and disappointed in what qualifies as liberalism now, just like Maher, Stewart, and Chappelle. He'd be shitting all over the pandemic shutdown and wokeism, and rightfully so, because there's a difference between being "left", and nonsensical far-left liberalism and socialism.

Bullshit, he'd be authoritarian leftist, agreeing with mandatory vaccinations. I mean, you saw it happen right before your eyes. All the anti authoritarian hippies sided with unchecked state power under the rationale that opposition was just brain dead Christian conservatives who where science deniers.

@Part2603 You might very well be right about the 2020 version of Carlin, but a lot of people gave in to their fears in real time during the pandemic, but have now learned and realized in retrospect that they were wrong. That's what I meant when I stated that Carlin would've shit all over the shutdown. It probably would've been in retrospect. I should've been more specific.

Carlin figured it out long ago. He was right in this monologue when he said the American people keep getting dumber and more easily controlled.

His attitudes used to be called "liberal". They are the attitudes that I still cherish. But look at "liberalism" these days.

So sad that this is what was considered being a liberal at the time.

It's almost like today's political spectrum is really all about whether or not you follow the status quo, whether you agree with the left or not or whether you are for authoritarianism or not.

It definitely isn't left and right anymore that's for sure.

This is the type of liberalism I have always followed and people called me a communist back in the day. Now they are calling me a far right fascist 🤣

It's sadly obvious that Western civilization is being purposely dumbed-down.

Bill Gates now says that math is racist.

I love how people enjoy their success, then after their success, advocate against others' success, like Megan Rapinoe. She waited until she was retired from the Women's National Soccer Team to publicly advocate for trans athletes being allowed on the Women's team, after there was no chance of her losing her spot on the team to a trans athlete. It's the epitome of hypocrisy.

My brother is an electrical engineer. Al gore says it's OK for him to have four lascivious mansions, because he's on the "green grid." LMAO

There is no green grid, but because most people are stupid, he can say that.

Cool. I've been an electrician in New York City for over 20 years, doing commercial, industrial, and exhibition electrical work.

It's not just what you mentioned. Even if there was a green grid, you still need infrastructure to deliver the energy, places to store the generated energy until it's needed and utilized, etcetera. It's no different than the "wireless" fallacy. At some point, there's going to be wires.

It's not simply just that. It's the hypocrisy. Like John Kerry being the Climate Czar, criticizing middle class people for driving to work, while he flies around on his private jet, creating far more pollution than someone driving to and from work for a year.

Interesting... To be fair though, Bill Gates himself has made no comment specifically endorsing DEI math. I would chalk it up to him being experimental or fast and loose with his donation money.

      @NYCQuestions1976 What's the "wireless fallacy"?

@Part2603 It's something I coined as an electrician. It's when the general public and/or "green" advocates actually believe that something that's "wireless" is literally and completely wireless the entire way, from the source. Eventually, there's always wires.

Yes but when I tell people things were better when we were more conservative they go on and on about how religion is evil. Because the powers that be want them to believe that. And yes, churches today are a joke compared to when I was a kid.
