That weird "love" for the royal family is such an odd concept. Why are you in love with an institution that cut a dark shadow over wide swaths of the planet? "The sun doesn't set on the British empire" may have sounded all cool to y'all, but maybe not to the millions of people subjected to your rule, especially when they live across oceans and continents.
Ever wonder why all these soveign nations are working hard to remove the ties to your governmet and royals? And yes, I say this as a U. S. citizen, so I know full well the history and complicity in wrongs around the world that my government is responsible for. But there's no one in U. S. history, with the lone exception of the Obama family, that I think to myself "Yes, I would love to see them in the White House again." People do their time, and then they leave. The Queen, I believe, represented the true end of an empire, an era, a system. And now the monarchy is in the hands of George? Jeeze. A man who did terrible things to his ex-wife, so bad, that when he pulled her security out of spite, she died before she could have her next round of afternoon tea and biscuits. He's got a single shred of good quality, and that's his stance on the environment. Everything is hot trash. If his kid eventually takes over attending all those committees, then good for him, I guess. Still, the Prime Minister holds the true power, since members of the Monarchy reap the financial and security benefits but don't actually put in the amount of work and strategization it takes to actually run a nation.
I don't. I'm more of an anarchist. People need to take responsibility for their lives rather than relying on these archaic and primitive power structures, even if they are figure heads.
There was an excellent article I read today, really capturing the spirit of a lot of people's feeling at the moment. More and more people are becoming sick and tired of the being lead off a precipice by a bunch of halfwits.
The time has come to get rid of the whole lot of them:

I don’t live in the UK anymore but a commonwealth country. They take some one our Tax money but don’t offer much to us. The queen is printed on our monies and that’s basically it.
Yup. She’s dead.

Yes I do.
there are those against them, however going the Republic route would end with some dickhead with actual political power in a position of power. I have no problems with us being a Constitutional monarchy. The line of succession is William, George, Charlotte, Louis.
I've no problem with them I am neutral. Either way, if they go they will simply be replaced with a rich powerful elite in a republic
LOL.. Totally useless ish. They are just figure heads without no real power to do anything.
Should have been abolished a long time ago.
Oh which county do live in?
@RebelinSteel U. S. A
Yeah, a country that is deciding between two senile presidents, one of whom is completely senile and one who is potentially guilty of various crimes. Get your own house in order first, the US is proving a great reason NOT to have a republic 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@RebelinSteel You’re right on about the US, but he’s right about the UK too. Many people in the UK are sick of the royal family.
@thevoicesinmybread yeah that was obvious last couple of years lol, those tiny crowds. A few on social media and the crazy republicans over here make a lot of noise. There is also a lot of fake news over various bits that simple types believe. The alternative would be far worse.
I think this nonsense has to stop now 😂
