Why do men tend to have better hygiene than women?

Women I come across smell bad, don't wash themselves, have messy hair, and look like bums. Every man I know is always spot on with his hygiene. I don't know any men who even wear the same clothes two days in a row, but women will wear the same clothes all week long.

On average, women tend to have better hygiene than men.

Having said that, women's bathrooms tend to be grosser than men's in a lot of ways, and stinkier. Before college I worked for a company that contracted with movie theatres to clean them after hours, and that inclooded the restrooms. In most cases the women's restrooms were messier, dirtier and stinkier than the men's. The only exception was the toilets, which were almost alays worse in men's rooms. But in pretty much every other aspect of the bathrooms, women's were consistently worse.
