Why is it that Trump can manage this simple process but Biden cannot?

I'm not talking about scum-bag politicians or greedy business people... we get that. I'm talking about stupid voters that defend scum-bag politicians and greedy business people.
Why is this border dilemma so complicated? When they crossover illegally, why not just put them back on the other side?
It has worked for Australia. We are 'girt by sea' so no land borders but people smugglers load them onto boats that are prone to sink in transit.
It has been demonstrated if they are allowed to remain in the target country then all the more come. When they are put in off shore detention centers the flow dries up very quickly.
The left wing parties say you can't do that and get voted out - yet again. The incoming conservative party ships them to offshore detention centers. Migrant flow stops immediately. Which allows the detention centers to be cleared and the illegal immigrants to be eventually accommodated in Australia.
It's the only way. It has been proved and reproved.
A genuine refugee should apply for asylum in the first safe country they reach and not continue to travel to a target country. Mostly it has been economic refugees to Australia. One female 'refugee' famously demanded a breast enhancement on stepping foot.
Countries in Europe are adopting what they call the Australian Solution. There might be legal challenges in a different jurisprudence. As long as you offer rewards, there will a illegal migrant flow. Maybe the US wants an inflow of cheap labor.
It is quite easy to stop economic refugee flows if there is the will.
From the the 70's 'boat people' were spear headed by Vietnamese people fleeing communism and there has been decadal influxes since. Immigration - including humanitarian - is strongly supported in Australia but the compact is that it is controlled. That the humanitarian quota is filled by genuine refugees of greatest merit not by 'economic refugees' who want to get to a richer country.
A countries economy needs to be set up for x amount of immigrants pa because immigrants need a roof like everybody else. So x amount of housing needs to built pa and there are problems if only x/2 of housing is built pa. Our current gov't has rather sneakily increased immigration by 125% so it is not surprising rents have escalated sharply but the left wing is so dumb ass it seems to be a surprise to them.
In a rational world, most of the world's population would want to move to countries like Australia, Canada and the US for the economic advantages. BUT that is clearly not possible.
I want to emphasis that this is my view in terms of my country only. It is not for me to have an opinion on the US situation.
I do think however it is a generic Western World problem and I can comment on that basis.
Right? Trump had the best numbers in 80 years and then Biden takes over... all those changes. "Why?" is where I look next... I'm told by a high level Dem that it is a form of reparations... he went silent when I asked if it's just for votes.
I honestly don't get it because the census is so far away and that's what they need for the electoral vote numbers to change. It's not the popular votes they're looking for. It makes sense but it's so far away... I get it, flood a place with people and you get more electoral votes. Where to flood? Where they're flooding into.

Every politician should get ONLY one term limit. That would help fight all of this corruption.
I'm hoping people in the blue states will get sick of the crime and drugs and their whole stupid plan will backfire... that blue states will switch to red in response to how back it's getting in their own backyards. But, I'm not so hopeful about such a thing from people that want to legalize chopping tits and dicks of for gender shit.
With all of that said though... I remember when it was the red side wanting to open the border and the blue side wanting to close it. It wouldn't surprise me if the "sides" just change "sides" again like before. If it gets bad enough... they'll say whatever just for approval. The "sides" they take are so malleable. Trump was only different because he wasn't one of them... the political class.
That is one of the fears... another is that is will cause a deep divide or separation between the us and them... Tell Tim Pool to raise his glass because I'm about to say it... civil war.
oh they can. just biden tells the border patrol not to. to just let them in. if biden says "let them" they have to. if trump says "don't let them" they have defend the border. that's why trump was way better. less crime, etc.

The democrats are trying to bring as many illegal aliens as possible into this country. They are trying to fast track making them citizens so they can vote. Thry will tell them that if Trump gets elected the gravy train will be over and they will be sent back.

I'm not counting on Trump being elected, because the Republicans are still trying to figure out if Mayorkas is doing a good job securing the border. Not to mention, they impeached Trump twice, and Biden is still coasting toward the finish line.
Mayorkas is being impeached to keep the spotlight on the disaster at the border. Biden will be in the middle of his own impeachment by the summer and it will be for a more serious charge that a fake Russian dossier. I am cautiously optimistic but nothing is off the table when it comes to the democrats desperate to cling to power.
Because many people crossing claim that they are entitled to asylum from violence in their home country. Sometimes it's government persecution, sometimes it criminal violence. There's an international treaty that countries will give asylum seekers a hearing.

They are supposed to seek asylum from the first country they get to. That's obviously not happening. They can request a hearing from either their country or the first country they get to.
It is intended to protect refugees from their government, not from poverty. And as asker said, people coming from, say, Venezuela have to pass through a lot of other countries to get here.
This is another example of how the two dominant parties won't pull their heads out of their ass and CHANGE their positions - the GOP on abortion, the Demos on immigration.
That's it. The US has tons of embassies, but they aren't really seeking asylum. They just want to get to America, collect the free stuff, and then vanish in the crowd. This is Biden's plan. Biden stabs his own country in the back just for the almighty vote.
It's not that he can't It's he doesn't want to because him Harris pelosi Schumer & raimondo want to keep their jobs in office so they use illegal border hoppers for their votes. When raimondo was governor of RI she let so many illegal border hoppers in RI it got flooded with it making fake and false and foney promises of free money free health care drivers license free food free housing etc. She ran RI so hard into the ground it never recovered long after she left office the state is still in complete shambles and never recovered
The left-wing media keeps blaming Republicans for this. They say we need "comprehensive" immigration reform. Whenever a politician says "comprehensive" it means they have no idea whatsoever. The US has over 170 embassies around the world. They need to go to the nearest embassy and apply for asylum. Heck, didn't Biden even make them an app? But as it is, 90% of the people who are now in our border don't qualify for asylum.
Some individuals that where confirmed to be on the terrorist watch list have crossed the border.

The FBI says we're going to have a terrorist attack within, but the left thinks Abbott is the bad guy for trying to follow the law.
