To me I think we have to say Napoleon. Failing him Alexander the Great. I would argue Napoleon bested all of his contemporaries except for Wellington and he would have bested Wellington if it wasn't for my forebear, with the rest of of Prussian 4th Corps, smashing into the French right flank at the critical moment. Could have been another astounding Napoleon victory.
