What is a sovereign citizen?

I started looking into them after watching from COPS videos - where they came across as kings & queens of moron land - and it seems it's a movement composed mostly of society's rejects.

Sovereignty implies governance of a country or territory, so royalty, presidents, warlords, prime ministers, senators, bankers, etc.

If a person is claiming sovereignty while inside a country they don't run/rule, they're an idiot.

They may be trying to start their own country, but every piece of land is already claimed, and existing countries generally just don't give them up without a huge purchase price attached or a war lost. So yes, "king/queen of moronland" is pretty accurate.

Its people falling for a scam that you can declare yourself immune from the laws and regulations. Its not real and I strongly advice against taking it seriously if you politically have the desire to be one. The courts will laugh you out of the room.

Idiots who believe in opposite opinions of the law than say cops or judges. So they call cars a different name thus no tax or license is needed. But cops and judges just disregard.

They basically want to live off society’s benefits without paying their fair share in taxation.
