Have most American inner cities gone downhill since the pandemic and the death of George Floyd?

I’m only seeing improvements in Tampa, Miami, and Nashville. The biggest declines seem to be NYC, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Austin, and Denver.

Pretty much everywhere has improved. Right wing media just wants people to believe democratic ran cities are some kind of hellscape because they dont want to risk their audience going to one and realizing how awesome it is to be in civilization.

I would say that’s not true. Austin is kind of red and it’s become much worse. It’s not as political as you think because I think a lot of people had problems since with pandemic. Nashville is not as red as Austin I believe. I’ve been to all these places before and after the pandemic I’m not going off some Dailywire story or something.

I would say the George Floyd thing which could be seen as political is a big part of the problem again not going off Fox News or something, I talk to a lot of cops and that’s what I’ve gathered from real life conversations and experiences with friends in law enforcement and officers I’ve had conversations with across the United States. Kind of ignorant, close-minded, and a little out of reality, if you think otherwise.

I’ve only lived in NYC and Miami in the last 3 years but I travel to many of these places regularly to see family. Miami has gotten much better in every metric in the last 3 years while New York has declined hard and fast in a shocking way.

Interesting. I also lived in both of those places while traveling to even more cities to see family, and Miami is probably the worst of the worst whereas NYC seems to be flourishing.

Pandemic was rough mostly because Trump denied vital medical supplies unless Cuomo endorsed him for president. But it was, and still is, vastly superior to Miami.

As far as "far" right versus "moderate" right, there is always going to be a question of how to measure the size of a lie. Do we go by how outlandish it is or by how many it reaches? I would say the latter as one can't really measure the outlandishness of a lie. You are repeating the same lie that millions of others repeat, so that seems pretty far.
