Putin has been the leader of Russia in some form or another (president or prime minister) since 1999.

With this war going on maybe Russians will pick another leader.

The other three politicians running for the Russian presidency is Nikolay Mikhailovich Kharitonov of the Russian communist party, Leonid Eduardovich Slutsky of the ultranationalist party and Vladislav Andreyevich Davankov of the liberal party.

Do you think Russia might elect a communist or an ultranationalist.

Even if the communist wins the war in Ukraine won’t end because the communist candidate isn’t against the war.

Yeah, I think it is mostly old people who remember the Soviet Union with rose colored glasses who vote for it.

They are the main opposition.
They even win in some regions.

Was totally unaware their election was coming up, much less about whoever is running against Putin. Either way he's not going anywhere, this man has rigged elections like a pro from the start of the 2000s, he's not going to stop now and especially not in the middle of his war.

OR. Putin will use it as an excuse to pull out of Ukraine without losing face. A puppet President could end the war before demanding power to putin or dying in a car crash.

That's hilarious. Any serious contender to Putin would fly out of the window or get arrested for tax dodging. These other candidates are sock puppets to create the resemblance of an actual election.
