If modern society settled things the way to they did in the wild Western days the way men did with showdowns& old time brawls would it fix society?

No. I have to point out that the wild west is known for its lawlessness and degeneracy. It is an example of a failed society even if you ignore the real world history and just focus on the romanticized image people believe in today.

It is literally the opposite of a "fixed society".

Just the opposite. While men in Europe were learning to solve their differences through polite dialogue, American men were shooting each other over any little grievance. This difference led to the two contrasting cultures we see today.
