Why is society today so easy offended by someone who swears in public?

Can't even use the f word that is very mild swear word in public or online without someone finding it offensive

That's an excellent question. However, I think women are much more readily accepted when they swear, which is fantastic for me, because I think it's sexy as hell when they curse and use foul language.

Swearing has never been acceptable in public. I know my grandfather said it was a sign of low intelligence when men had to swear all the time. If anything it’s a potential sign of mental health issues if a person constantly feels the need or desire to swear all the time in public. Also at work it is not accepted, online is slightly different but should be restrained where possible.

swearing in public was never really accepted or regarded as fine

even if it won't bring out any reacting then it will get u some glares n side eyes

its a public space for everyone n it has kids

I try to refrain from using profanity in public not only because children could be around, but swearing just means you couldn’t find an appropriate word to precisely describe what you wanted to say…. in most cases.

I think the main concern is exposing kids to that language. I can't come up with a good reason for why that should matter, though.
