It’s impossible to have opinions without offending anybody nowadays

Everytime I make lists of my favorite directors people complain they’re all black or complain there aren’t women. JUST BECAUSE I DON’T HAVE BLACK PEOPLE DOESN’T MEAN I’M RACIST. JUST BECAUSE I DON’T HAVE WOMEN DOESN’T MEAN I’M SEXIST. I swear to god people get offended over literally everything nowadays. It’s impossible to have opinions without people crucifying you for it and act like you’re the bad guys. If people stopped paying attention to race or everybody was much nicer everything would be much nicer

We have gone way too soft as a society. We’ve been teaching people that it’s okay to be ruled by their feelings and this is the result. We failed to teach them that feeling strongly about something doesn’t mean that they’re right. In fact, more often than not feeling strongly about something usually means you’re almost as far from right as you can be.
It’s okay to have your feelings and it’s important to honor them, but you should master your feelings before they master you. A person who fails to master their feelings is a child, regardless of their age. Children are immature and ineffectual. We spend years teaching kids to stop being kids for good reasons. They are lousy human beings until they have been instilled with discipline and purpose.

People do indeed get upset very easily now. It seems liberalism is a devout religion.

But I think the major factor is women being more involved in politics and to a large part creating the politics. Somehow 101 genders fits into feminism. .

For time immemorial female intra sex competition has been based on excluding or marginalizing competitors. So naturally they have brought this into politics as Cancel Culture. Personal attack is the root of Cancel Culture and female politics at the personal and public level.

We need to cancel mean girls.

Mean girl politics have resulted in a couple female Australian politicians dying. One by suicide and the other from stress they induced. The mean girls who did this were scummy enough to go to the funerals and weep for the ones they killed..

For some people it's a whole lifestyle, especially online. They offend themselves into a corner from which they only could escape with serious mental health counseling. And similar to most obsessions, the threshold of offense gets smaller and smaller until they basically would like to execute people for wearing the wrong shirt color. It's insanely tiring to deal with such people.
