I think it's very admirable. I have a good friend who just lives to surf. He lives on a shack on the beach without even a toilet. To survive, he just takes some jobs here and there as a tattoo artist and graphic designer. He's mostly off the grid and just lives the life he wants surfing every day.
It's not for me (I actually enjoy some degree of responsibility over such a carefree lifestyle) but I think it's a very cool way to live for a man to live entirely by his own terms.
Oops sorry, I glossed over the women part of the Q! I need to get my eyes checked. With my surfer friend though, he surprisingly has pretty dates all the time. There are some women really drawn to that carefree lifestyle.
As long as it's legal and he's not harming anyone I've no problem with how he chooses to live his life.
