What would you do if a family member tried to murder you but you can't go to the police because they were abused as a child and you saw this happen?

i have this family member who tried to kill me and i know their abuser. the abuser is an old lady who never admits her mistakes and is extremely self centered but she is old so when i tell her the truth she makes it look like i am abusing her. this poor person had the worst chilhood and is extremely narcistic he has been in prison twice. i know for a fact he tried to kill me. i am worried he might become a serial killer. but considering what those two old ladies did to him i dont have the heart to be mad at him.

If you feel it's something u can confront him about, even if he lies but has his wits about him, there's a way to initially attempt to start from a mutual respect and if that fails, THEN you can assume a position of authority and get him on the defense while you show him your theoretical poker hand that you know will beat his cards.

Say I know what you did but I'm taking my power back that you stole from me. If it's true that he did in fact try this in the past, and he knows you know that he's a coward, he will lose a lot of his arrogance knowing that you have major dirt on him. Then tell him that there are 3 people who now know about it as well, they all have notarized statements ready to give to police as evidence if something ever happens to you. Mutually assured destruction.

Don't tell him anything more than that, but emphasize that if you disappear, there are mechanisms in place this very moment that on word of as much as a burglar breaking a window in your house, there will be a team ready to find any excuse possible to lock you up. And lie to him that he better not only leave you alone but if he knew what was good for him, he'd sign up to be your personal bodyguard because if you get so much as a black eye, he will be in jail and you will happily let anyone with ears know, including the local news, that he attacked you out of nowhere and you fear for your life if he gets released.

Predators like that are very very insecure so just the threat of his reputation being ruined should scare the shit out of him. They desperately want to keep their skeletons buried. And if he's a rational person, he won't dare try anything again... as long as you convince him that you hold the power now and he should tread lightly. But don't confront before you tell multiple people exactly what is happening; otherwise he'd just try to silence you. But of he knows there are multiple eyes on him, that's your security policy.

And granted, if he's a straight psychopath, no amount of reasoning or threat of prison will work. In which case, change your phone number, cut off all contact, rent a room from somebody he doesn't know in an area of town he's unfamiliar with, sell your car, change your name and move to another state if you can. If you're that concerned, put a tracker on his car and pay a hacker to give you remote access to his cell phone. Worst case scenario of course.

But if you genuinely feel in danger, there's no such thing as taking too much precaution. And the worst thing you can do is continue being vulnerable and not telling others about it. And tracking his location to alert you if he's near you could be invaluable.

And advice is great but remember you are the expert here so ALWAYS trust your gut. I pray God gives you wisdom and ultimately serenity. 🙏

i might do that i need to think about it because i really hate the police with a passion and the whole legal system. i hate how they handle things and how they punish people but yeah he is dangerous there is no doubt.

if i go to the police for him i need to go about my stalker from nevada as well its only fair. i dont have any proof for him but i definitely have plenty for the guy in nevada.
