It wasn't Trump's wall. Four presidents preceding Trump built the wall, with a Democrat being the one who pushed the most for it. Trump hardly touched the wall compared to those other presidents (two Democrats and two Republicans).

If you are going to make an argument you should probably understand it first. The reason people were against Trump building his stupid wall is not because walls are stupid, it is because his wall was stupid. If Trump could clap his magic ass cheeks and conjure a wall from the ether without any of the consequences then no one would care. It is the consequences that matter; why people are against Trumps wall.

Things like for example environmental impacts etc.. But mostly just cost. While you could make the argument that the purpose of the wall itself is evil and stupid (because immigration is a good thing and trying to stop it with a wall is just a way to make humans suffer) it would still not be the first stupid vanity project that a president has built yet the Trump wall is different enough to upset people.

Because of its costs. It is stupidly expensive. Billions upon billions upon billions of dollars. Over and over and over again, just to keep an easily climbable wall erected and these costs will plague USA for the rest of its existence until you decide to demolish it which will again cost insane amounts of money.

Remember the Chinese wall? The nations that built that were ruined financially by its construction and no longer exist.

So with this newfound knowledge, why do people not care that Biden has built some amount of wall? Because Biden has not spent endless amount of money on it like an absolute idiot. They are not the same, which makes your equation of them silly.
