It depends on the store. If the store’s parking lot is well lit, I’ll do it. But the best thing to do is avoid the dangerous situation if possible

I think it's kind of fun actually. Like no other customers are there and even the employees seem bored and lost!

No. My old job had me working late in the hoodsiest of hoods, sometimes in chain stores, sometimes in little independent bodegas. I think there was only one real incident that was hostile, but the kid working the bodega kind of escalated it. Some dude came in with a dog, and he for sure had an attitude when the guy from the store said something, but he was this little dude, and I think he thought I would have his back so he was acting tough. I’m thinking “I don’t even know you, bro, that’s your deal, my guy. Watch your neck.”😂 You must be out of your mind if you think I’m going after a guy with a pit bull, for some kid I knew for like three hours, lmfao.

But other than that, no problems. I find life in the real world to be much, MUCH less scary than advertised on TV👍

I never had this fear even when I went out at 2 AM in South Compton when I lived in LA. It might actually be foolish; I might benefit from some of it. 😅 But I always found everyone just very friendly venturing out on the street.

The few times I got assaulted was not just walking around the street at night but in and around drinking establishments and always with rowdy drunks. Yet I've never had a bad experience walking the streets at night while sober and away from those types of establishments. Never been assaulted or mugged in those cases.

Now that I'm here in Japan though, Japan is extremely safe to walk the streets at night. Street crime is virtually nonexistent. There are even women walking at 4 AM through the darkest alleys and parents let kids ride the subway on their own. Nothing bad is going to happen to them.

It may sound crazy, but I do it all the time even tonight LOL. I think it's just a thang when it comes to being single, I just do anything I want at any time. But I know many people tell me I should stop due to the dark hours and a lot of crazies out there lol.

I could walk the 2 miles to the corner store stumbling in a blizzard at midnight and nobody would do anything other than maybe stop and give me a ride in their truck.
