If people don’t like what you post why do they waste their time and energy responding to it if there is a block or mute button?

What’s the point of posting anything on an online forum if not to engage on various topics?
I find most of the people who use block do so because they can’t handle their opinions being questioned.

Why post anything at all if any counter claims makes you feel so victimized?

I’m sure most people bypass a majority of posts here. I have only a couple of topics that I follow, because those topics interest me. If I see someone say something I disagree with, or something I simply believe to be incorrect, I may choose to post a rebuttal. That’s the point of these places. To exchange ideas.
Blocking people because they express ideas you don’t like is just weak. People who to do that just show that they can’t defend their position. 🤷‍♀️
If you’re being harassed, of course, that’s different. But disagreeing with someone isn’t harassment. I fear many are unaware of that little detail.
