Why do people act like there’s only two choices for President?

yeah, it’s a rigged two party system with tons of money, keeping it in place, but you have the power to vote for someone else. If enough of us realize that it’s not a wasted vote, we could choose a different candidate. It’s upsetting to me how many sheep there are out there

Yes, there is only two choices for president. While there is theoretically a chance to vote for anybody that is not actually realistic. This is not about being a sheep or not but rather the difficulty in self organizing on a national scale without the proper funding and framework.

Closing your eyes and imagining that everyone would just vote for the right person as if by magic is ignoring the reality of the situation.

There have been 3rd party candidates in the past. Some of them actually got some traction. George Wallace got 14% of the popular vote. Ross Perot got 19% of the popular vote and john Anderson got 7%.

Cuz voting for a third person in November is a wasted vote. It’s why we have primaries to flush out candidates. Over 100 people registered this year to become president. By October it will be cut down to two legit candidates.
