Do you agree polls are a great way to see what people think in general on GAG?

So many more people answer polls than leave a comment, I think its a great way to see what people actually agree or disagree with.

Most of those are fake polls by people with multiple accounts and robots adding results. Opinion polls on GAG are the worst way to find out what people think. It all depends on who takes part in the poll.

This site advertises polls to certain users to interfere with the results, I've come across this many times. I also come across poll results which are different to what people say in the comments. Also people can and do ask polls in a biased and leading manner which can effect the results.

I do and sometimes you get people that answer polls but not the question itself. I just wish polls had an option to opt out to see the results because sometimes I have no option in the poll but I want to see the answer

as long as you give enough choices for people to answer.
Otherwise, it is easy to skew a poll to what answers you want just by the answers you give for people to answer.

They can be if the options are fairly open and not a yes or no or what the asker wants you to agree with

Sometimes polls don't give enough opinions. There have been times I didn't vote but I did leave a comment because none of the opinions fit my answer.

I tend to forget the voting part of polls and instead leave comments. I find comments is a far more effective way to communicate information

i find the people on GAG tend to be more conservative and right wing on most issues so it may not be the best place to get a general idea of what people think but its better than nothing! lol

To be an a**hole. Why do guys tell women that aren't fat that they are. Why do women that have no connection to a guy that being short makes him unattractive?
I can't answer why people would this because I don't know why some people get off on deliberately misleading someone.
