The State of the Union speech is suppossed to be about National unity not cheap partisan attacks and smears against your opponents.

I’ve watched Trump’s SOTU speeches before. And not once have I ever seen him resort to blatant partisan warfare.

Even the day after Trump was impeached by Congress, he didn’t even mention it during his SOTU.

This was just absolutely disgusting to witness.

Biden ran his whole 2020 campaign on the promise of unity and trying to bring Americans together.

He’s done the exact opposite.

Claiming that there’s a scourge against women? If that doesn’t admit that he’s seeking the female vote in order to win the election I don’t know what does. Are women really that stupid to fall for benefits that only benefit women while the other policies destroy the country and kill our own citizens?


Also so much happened, Palestine protesters blocked his motorcade, a father of a deceased vet from the botched afghan withdraw was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor, and MTG got Biden to admit that Laken Riley was murdered by an illegal! If the state of the union speech told us anything, the country doesn’t want Biden. It needs someone like Trump to put us back on track.

Let's be totally honest: It does NOT matter what he says. The GOP will condemn it, and the democrats will praise it, and the opposite would happen if there had been a GOP president.

Even before Biden's speech, you could have bet your life savings the GOP would pan it, and the democrats would praise it.

Both sides are entrenched to support their guy no matter what and attack the other guy no matter what.

No, the state of the union is primarily informational. Its basically in the name, "State of the union". The president is supposed to tell the people a sort of annual report of what is going on. The way Biden handled it is perfectly fine, if a bit unorthodox.

He tried it twice though, one with his supporters storming the capitol and the other with the fake electors. Both of them was deliberately orchestrated by Trump and both were to prevent the transfer of presidential powers away from him.

Ah yes. Everyone just independently, all at once, had the same bright idea to overthrow democracy and make Trump the president for life. Gotcha. Also its not like I need to prove anything to you in this regards, this was BIDENS STOU. If he believes this is true then that is obviously enough for him to act on it. All I need to do is to prove that Biden believes that Trump is a danger to Democracy, which he said himself, and therefore this is a completely fine response.

Trump however had no qualms of speaking ill of his predecessors and their work. I mean honestly, his whole stick back then was "Make America Great Again" (which inherently implies that its not great currently)

Just go back and look yourself. He constantly talk about how the country was in such a terrible situation before he became president and that his election was a sign that people had risen up and had enough of politicians before him. His state of the union address is basically just an extension of his own political campaigning and ego masturbation.
