Why is walmart associated with weird people?

I have never been to one but I ordered a few stuffs from there through their website. Is it true the customers and employees are strange?

The low (er) prices are very attractive to lower (financial) class people, many of whom are lower-class (morally and stylistically) as well. You get "ghetto" people of all races and cultures, who might be loud, unbathed, wearing very inappropriate clothing, acting in very inappropriate ways, and sometimes even outright causing commotions or worse.

How much this is true will vary a lot depending on location - a Walmart in a more upscale community may have little of this, while another store that's closer to a large population of financially lower-class may be a total circus.

amazing but Walmart used to be the "USA" store... until was found out everything was made in china and relabeled.

Because Walmart is the new Kmart... it's cheap and poor people go there to save money they don't have.

Also, they hire immigratns I suspect because of deals with govt... not that immigrants are weird, many I met were good people. But that may draw in other cultures they feel comfy with and change dynamic.

@handsomelad70 They hired a bunch of Iraqi and Sirian refugees after outing the others before. I'm confident they have tentacles to the US Govt as did the city I lived in. When there is an international airport, there is $ flowing from USGov. Not saying it's bad, just saying it is.

I have never seen anything weird at my Walmart and I'm certainly a normal person. The only thing I see are untrained employees that don't know their store or the merchandise they sell
