What makes you cry?

What makes me cry every time I think about it is when I think about the dream I had where I was a Confederate soldier and I witnessed Robert E. Lee shake hands with US Grant at the McLean house.

I cried so much as I no longer had a country, all of the death and suffering I saw was in vein, all of the money I had was worthless, and finally enough blood was enough.

Before he left, US Grant walked up to me as I was crying, I gained enough control of myself to stand to attention, and salute as tears fell from my eyes like a river, and he returned the salute, as did the Union soldiers near me. The salute took all of the energy I had left, I fell to my knees and kept sobbing, and nobody moved at all, everyone, including US Grant stood at attention, clearly respecting me enough not to let their joy show, but I kept crying.

Tears flow from my eyes like a river every time I think about it. What makes you cry?
