Well I'd like to think it means being compassionate. But then there a lot of humans today that are not human then. So I'd say it a clinical way. It means to aware of your own existence in the universe. To perceive time and not just live as a means of survival to plan and better your stead.

I watched a Joe Rogan video the other day and they had this mouse that used a stick to trigger the mousetrap so that he could eat the cheese without being killed. I don't know if it's legit. But you don't think of most animals of being capable of such problem solving.
