+1 yAmerica is a dysfunctional government were having a sort of civil cold war right now and while our political power is failing slowly, we still have by an order of magnitude the most powerful military.
It would be wise for other countries not to push their luck too much at a time like this because in the midst of our disfunction, there's really nobody stopping our military from doing whatever they want.
The most dangerous thing about this country is that our corruption only makes the military stronger. Our ground troops are demented killers whos training is the best practices cherry picked from forces all over. Our drone pilots are mentally unstable and incredibly impressionable woke gamers who if they commit a war crime, we're just gonna say they get a pass because they're special, our scientists and engineers are a bunch of geniuses who are given an unlimited budget to fuck around with whatever they want to outdo eachother. Our clandestine leaders are basically super villains who somehow only care about our countries long terms interests. They can start operations and keep things secret from even the president.
Our power is evident all the time. By default, we fight with our hands tied behind our backs and with limited firepower in order to be "humane" whatever that means. Basically every successful military operation taking place in the world right now is dependent on how much of our throw-away technology we supplied and half the time, we don't even show them how to properly use it.
Anyone who thinks we're not a superpower has no idea what they're talking about.

+1 yThe economy is all connected. It's not like before when when the east falls, the west rises, and when the west falls, the east rises. It's not like that anymore. So if the US falls the rest will go down too.
Yemen was in a civil war with each other. The Houthis Faught against (I forget what the other side was called) the other side which was backed by NATO weapons and the other side lost tot he Houthis.
Yemen recently launched missiles at Israel because they are not scared of fighting NATO weapons because they were fighting against them for years and know how to deal with it. Saudi saw the missiles flying through their airspace heading to Israel and Saudi fired it down. Yemen is not scared of them but Saudi because they realize how connected all the economies are and they don't want to get hit with US sanctions.
Even BRICS that Russia and China were hyping up have been a big flop. Everyone keeps saying US is falling and yet everyone is too pussy to fight them expect Yemen. Hezbollah was talking about attacking Israel and they were even given missiles to fire at Israel and they were just as pussy.
It should be easy for Russia and China to team up and take down the USA, but still everyone being pussy. They hyped up BRICS saying it would destroy the US economy and nothing happen with BRICS and everyone is disappointed and upset for investing into it.
I don't doubt that the USA can be beaten, but someone is going to have to grow a dick and fight back. It's like a bully in high school who is too strong for one kid to beat up. Other kids will help beat him up as long as one kid has the balls to fight him. Otherwise everyone is just going to sit there and take it.

+1 yYes. Absolutely. It is currently the only superpower. It’s economic power is still significant and it’s military and power-projection abilities are unmatched. Our Navy alone is more powerful than the world even though it’s only 4th in size. Our naval aviation ability, nuclear deterrent force, and ability to deploy a Marine Expeditionary Unit anywhere on the globe within a week is unmatched by any other nation. China is on the rise but a long, long, way from having a credible blue water navy.
That’s just Naval power.
Add our Army & Air Force, and our proxy forces around the world and there is no question. Having said all that China is on the rise and will be a credible rival on most levels within a decade. Our economy is not as powerful as it once was. Most critically out nation is divided on multiple lines and impairs our ability to unify as a nation under common causes. This Will seriously impact our nation in coming generations.00 Reply
+1 yOf course- who else do you think qualifies? Who else COULD? Russia can't handle Ukraine, China couldn't take Taiwan even WITHOUT US involvement, India's still half Third World, Japan's birthrate is going to reduce it to a regional power soon, Brazil's corrupt and incompetent, the UK's less corrupt but more incompetent, Cameroon's more corrupt if less incompetent, and South Afrcia's more corrupt AND more incompetent.
Laugh all you want, but if we've fallen, all y'all have broken our fall.

+1 ywhen i see super power my first idea is military so u. s. has the most warplanes by far, so biggest superpower over china and russia.
another meaning is economy, u. s. has a great production n industry. but china? who can trusts their claims? and the price crash deflation there is a huge problem.
russia can't keep up with its losses in ukraine, and has almost no industrial export so u. s. is the only power n super power.. despite democrat party's efforts.

+1 yFactually the US is still a superpower technically it is the only true superpower. The US can deploy armies to around 15 points anywhere on earth in less than 24 hours. It also can completely control 10+ points at any given time. Both China and Russia can control 5-8 but lack the ability to transport military personnel, armaments, supplies, etc in rapid fashion

President Donald J Trump 🙏🇺🇸❤️👍🙂 reworked everything and kept his promise to make America great again. Greatest 4 years we ever had 🙂👍. Now we need him back more than ever!
00 Reply6K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. It is a bit like Mt. Olympus where we have a lot of power but mostly just fight amongst ourselves. Russia doing, of course. Sad that a few online comments can bring down a democracy but not a dictatorship.
00 Reply12.2K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Yes, and if Trump is re-elected, it will be for up to 10 years. If Biden wins, the American Experiment is over short of an armed uprising, which I consider likely if the election is stolen again.

+1 yThe US military has the best technology, stationed around the world, and sticks its nose into wherever there's a crisis. That's the definition of a superpower.
00 Reply 27.2K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. The US is in a slump but China is experiencing their own issues and Russia is dealing with a proxy war with The US. The US is still number one... for now.
10 Reply2.8K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Yes, why wouldn't I. Economy, number 1, military, number 1, Global Influence, number 1, technology, number1, space, number 1, entertainment - music, TV, Movies, number 1.

+1 yFuck yeah the US is a superpower. why would you think we're not? We're just not the only superpower. But we've been a super power for a long fucking time.. no other country will ever be like us.
00 Reply4K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. We are one, but I think we could still be one and not sink so much money into our military. We spend more than the next 24 top spenders on their military combined.
