Is the usa a declining super power?

Like all powers roman empire etc... they all fall. Question is when the u. s. can't pay back anything for its debt its a Question of time before it dies.

What would it look like? When one day the dollar crashes nothing seen since Germany since wwI. High inflation, no food, jobs... it would trickle all around the earth and the rich would crawl to their safe houses for protection. Do you think the political divide would help or hurt the u. s. a. fall as political parties argue what is right and wrong for corporate America. Since when have politicians looked out for the best interests of the American people but rather their corporate lobbying to line their own pockets.

Possibly but the Roman empire lasted from 31 BC to 1453 AD when the Turks finally finished it off. The Roman Empire had a lot of trials such as lots of famine, pandemics, civil wars, economic problems, boarder control problems and rivial powers on their boarders that were their equal at least militarily if not economically. The US has few of these problems at the magnitude the Romans had to deal with, in fact the US is the most powerful empire there's ever been, no one can currently touch it. I believe it will continue on decline then resurgence, decline and resurgence time and again. The only thing that could possibly end the American empire is some major global calamity like a world war like what ended the British empire or a pandemic like Justinians plague that basically crippled the Roman empire or a volcanic winter which did great damage to the Roman empire or some major natural disaster or series of natural disasters like those that happened in the Bronze age collapse that ended so many of the great ancient civilisations leaving a weakened Egypt that though survived was only a shadow of its former self.

In the end when the roman empire had little to moral compass left. People were left to explore every possible sexual fantasy and it was considered normal.

That was until the arrival of Christianity. The last Roman emperor was a very pious man. He died a martyr fighting for Christianity in the streets of constantinople against the Turks.

ABSO-FUCKING-LUTELY!!! I've counselled my kids to live abroad after their studies are done. I've seen 20 years worth of high school students get their education and leave for greener pastures; a growing minority of them find those greener pastures abroad.

I give the USA 100 to 150 more years to enjoy it's economic, cultural and military hegemony. Like I said, I don't want my kids and grandkids to be around in the dying days of an empire. It's going to be ugly!

They don't seem concerned with their growing debt. Both of their political parties contribute to it constantly but horrid leadership for 8 years now seems to be their biggest issue. The last four with a senile old man and before that a man-baby with all the mental and emotional maturity of a 12 year old boy. They did good replacing one awful candidate because I don't think they'd have recovered if they repeated another poor choice.

Nope. We might be rotting from the inside out like ALL the great empires of history. But it's a SLOW rot. No other country has risen to contend with the United States. Russia tried, but it's political doomed it failure. China and India have fast growing economies. But they both have too many internal problems they trying to do in a few decades what took the United States a century to do. They're likely to implode first.
