How do you solve the impossible situation Israel is in?

I understand Israel has negotiator teams active in several Arabic countries with Hamas officials to achieve specific deals. And the militant parts in Hamas want to die as martyrs anyway, so the IDF will help them achieve that. In the long run, Israel is doing the only viable thing by destroying Hamas, even if millions of average Palestinians are paying a terrible price for their own mistakes.

What the US is pushing for actually seems like the least bad approach. Two state solution and an international coalition to keep the peace.

You’re missing the point here. hamaa has an organization has to be destroyed. That is not negotiable. I’m not talking about a solution with the Palestinians at large. They cannot have any sort of government role.
