How long does it usually take to go do your taxes at a place they do taxes ?

Too long. And I say that because they are typically just asking the same questions as an app so you can cut out the middle man/woman. Plus most of those people are not accountants so they are just following an app like you would.

I have done it a couple times in my life and it took 3-4 hours every time. I would rather drop everything off with an accountant and let them do it on my behave or do it myself through an app.

My accountant does my taxes. I send him all the things he needs to his secure online portal. He then works on my taxes, and usually takes a week or two to get them done.

Note: During tax season (Jan-Apr here in the US), accountants are very busy filling out tax forms for all their clients.
