How could it be unintentional?

For stealing, say the person forgot to scan an item during self-check out. For academic cheating, they cheated unknowingly because they were unaware what was and was not allowed (e. g.. not allowed to use a solution manual for help). For romantic cheating, they had different definition of cheating than their partner (e. g. don't consider flirting as cheating), etc.
