If you guys got bullied in high school, do you regret for not standing up for yourselves?

No, but I resent my mother who made me feel less about myself and letting these people to treat me that way. I did my research, gathered info from some of my friends and with the help of fb, after 20 years, I found some of them. Few ended up to be very obese and struggle with their lives, some are single mums with multiple men (dumped after they got pregnant), one guy got cancer that he had to open a donation for his cemo treatment. One more died from covid. I know this sounds psychotic but I did reach out to them (except the cancer dude) saying I am having my popcorn every day watching them from afar. They all blocked me after that.

There was a boy who tried to bully my brother when he first went to that new school,

He hang that boy out of the window from 3rd floor until he begged for forgiveness.

I think people smelled they’d have the same luck if they messed with me.

I was nice, I had friends who were bullies and they just needed my one word to attack whoever would disturb me.

I was bullied when I was in 7th grade. I’m not ashamed about it either, I always answer anon. I was picked on by this kid named Justin. I was a little portly lol but his girl used to like me too. One day he started messing w me just outside of school not too far from the campus. I ended up kicking his ass. I didn’t know how to fight at the time. All I did was do some of the shit I knew from WWF (now WWE). Could have broken his neck w what I did. After that he never messed w me. Twenty years later I married his girl lol jk that part didn’t happen but the bullying did and how I resolved it happened as well.

One time yes. Competition for same football position. Kid was a douche but came from a fucked up home life. I was the new kid and first time in public school from Catholic school. Parents would have yanked me if I got in a fight so I took it. Wrong call. Still bothers me.

I did stand up for myself. We got in a fight. Neither one I would say but kid never bothered me again. Looked him up on Facebook... He's married to a fat girl, dead end job, and a miserable life.

There was no standing up for myself, as my bullies were basically half the school. I was the only ginger kid among 1200 others kids there, it was basically a target on me.

I did stand up for myself. I started weight training and got big. I waited for somebody to pick on me then but suddenly had no takers. I did fight a kid. It was more like a wrestling match and as we were rolling around on the ground I rubbed his face in dog doo doo.

I don't regret anything. Maybe I could have responded better at the time, but actually no I couldn't. I had to learn. It made me who I am now, and I don't regret a thing.

The school administration. It was because of a zero-tolerance policy towards fighting after the Columbine school shooting. Whoever started the physical fight would get punished hardest.

Basically, the school admins didn't want to deal social bullying (it's a lot harder to deal with), so you'd have bullies figure out that they can screw with people and verbally treat them like garbage. And they knew they didn't have to worry about retaliation because the school would punish the person they were bullying hardest since the person being bullied technically started the fight.

They were. I don't know why they felt superior. Teachers were assholes. They used to give good grades where going for personal tuition to the same teachers.
As per them if the student is scoring good then he or she can bully the student who doesn't score well.
