That’s not hateful. There’s definitely frustration and envy in those words. Also, the immigrants didn’t write and pass the laws. If there’s hate to be shared, it should be for the lawmakers who give handouts to some people, but not others.

There are legal ways to enter the country. There is no other country in the world that would let you enter illegally. There is no reason for it.

It may not mean he is a hateful person, but he did address the issue HE has been experiencing, which is his partner not being able to qualify for Welfare. The financial stress, money issues, bills, etc. do not go away, even if money isn't being brought in - they pile up.

This could very well be a combination of frustration, hurt feelings that all the others are able to receive welfare, and his partner is still unable to. It could be an off day and he blurted out a hateful opinion due to the emotional state he was in, who know! I wouldn't judge him based off of this one instance. Or confirm he has a hateful way of things.

We all say things in the heat of anger, even if it's not intended or illy worded. It WAS certainly hateful, but if he understands what he said was hurtful, chances are it was said out of stress, anger, and upset feelings regarding the subject.
