What state best represents America?

In what way? Like the state we’d want to travel around the world as a representative for the country? Or the state that would give world travelers the most well rounded information about what it is to live and be in the US if they could only visit one?
Or something else i haven’t considered?
My first thought is that it would have to be a swing state, like my home state of Michigan. These whackos saying New York and California are out of their minds. Their wildly radical politics are only representative of the political fringe in this country. Texas and Florida are the same, just the other end of the spectrum.
I, for one, despise that the rest of the world thinks primarily of these ignorant and radical minorities when they consider the United States of America. They leave me praying for a planet killer meteor two to three times a month. Ell oh ell!
I was totally with Thanos! But i’d snap away every idiot and asshole who identifies as a democrat or republican.

When I think of the US, the first state and city that comes to my mind is New York, New York. Interestingly enough, I've been to lots of areas outside the city in the rural/countryside and state parks, which is actually quite beautiful.

I don’t know much about that.

Strangely enough, my very first American friend and the most friends I’ve made from the US were from California though.

Starting from the age of 19, there was a boy I was friends with from 19-21 - He lived in California. And I learned a lot about the US from him, he always liked Europe more and was surprised so many people wanted to live in the US.

Because of him and my close friendship with him at that tender age, for me the US has always been associated with California.

Now the man, I am dating is from the South, but he’s a liberal which I like.

And I am often sent the photos of PV sunset by another friend of mine, so in a way - that’s what comes to my mind when I think of it. Though I know it’s different, but that’s just my association.

I think many people there are very open-minded, just like you. Which is amazing.

As a European when I picture Americans I don't think of your best and brightest. I picture a fat guy wrapped in a flag using a gun as a toothpick to remove a bit of fried chicken. So I'm going to say Texas.
