Even if it was his wife, the canon of ethics REQUIRES he recuse himself even if there's just the APPEARANCE of impropriety. Does that change anything?

@DrPepper12. Nothing in the political realm would ever move forward in the legal front if justices had to refuse themselves every time there was an "appearance " of something or another. You can dig into anyone's background and find some kind of impropriety. The issue is does it effect the Justices impartiality (at least for me).
