The jews have lived in that part of the world for nearly 5,500 years. The "capital of the Jewish Kingdom" is Jerusalem. Which is located in that part of the world. If one looks at religious texts in fact it states the beginning of the end times will see jews would be scattered and regathered. After losing millions of their people to the nazis and being scattered across the globe on May 14th, 1948 Israel became a nation in the region the jews have always resided. According to religious texts the regathered jews would come under attack. See Ezekiel 37 and 38 where it speaks of an invasion of Israel by a force to its north by the Magog and they would have an ally which would be Persia. Students of history will know Persia is the ancient name for Iran. As of recently Russia (potentially magog as the name is unclear) and Iran have been getting closer militarily.
Now I am not a religious person but it is interesting that Israel and jews are mentioned in a book hundreds if not thousands of years old and yet Palestine does not exist in any of the ancient religious texts. So if one is studying world history, religious history and being objective. The only country to support is Israel. If one is Religious then Israel is also the country to support because supposedly if Israel is not left in peace or is destroyed it triggers the end of the world. So no matter which path one takes the end result is on the side of Israel

They HAVE done campaign finance reform, multiple times. The underlying problem is that the US is extraordinarily expensive to run a national campaign. In order to do that, they can't be collecting nickles and dimes.

Look at the primaries. Why do a very small number of states have such an huge impact? Even when you narrow the election down to two candidates in the general election it's extraordinarily expensive. So what's it going to cost for a few dozen people to run a national campaign in the primaries?

Realistically it can't be done. So we do small "test elections" in a few small states. That way a large number of candidates can run. But most are immediately eliminated, without having any real chance. They get eliminated before the public even knows anything about them - or even know their name for that matter.

Like it or not, it boils down to money, and lots of it.

The US is actually considered one of the least corrupt countries in the world. A bunch of lawyers looked at what Trump did, or what was claimed he did, and said there was nothing illegal about it. It would only be illegal if he directly traded money for a specific action as president.

The thing is, that no matter what a politician's stance is, there will be groups who support them. Trump doesn't need to change anything to get money from oil companies. All he has to do is what he's already been doing. The oil companies will support him because he is the better alternative, without him changing a thing.

ALL candidates go after whatever groups they think will support their stance. They are either going after money, or going after votes.
