What's the worst pain you've felt?

The worst physical pain I've ever felt doesn't require much thinking, it was without a shadow of a doubt, when I had testicular torsion in 2019.

I'm generally tolerant of pain, I'm able to brush it off, and go on doing whatever it is that I'm doing, and I don't let it control me. But everyone has a breaking point, and the day I had testicular torsion took me lightyears past my breaking point.

It came in waves, I tried taking a warm bath, hoping that maybe whatever it was, a bath would help, it didn't. It kept getting worse, and I had my mom drive me to the emergency room, it got worse every second.

I held an ice pack on my groin, and a vibrating massager on my right kidney, where I also had a ton of pain. I went into the emergency room, ignoring my shoes falling off, and grabbed the desk for support, as another fit of agony was threatening to make me fall to the floor, incapacitated.

I said a bunch of curses, including making up my own curse words, some of the stuff was kinda creative, if I do say so, myself.

Anyway, they luckily weren't busy at all that day, and put me in as critical, as my mom explained that I've never acted like I was that day. When I got on the bed, another fit of agony began, it felt like I was laying on concrete, and a 180 pound man with concrete shoes was standing on my testicles.

I screamed and cursed as I had fentanyl administered, and another doctor grabbed my testicicles and twisted them, and just like that, the pain was gone. I had emergency repair surgery done the same day.

I had local anesthetics given, and they started cutting, after putting a sheet in front, to block my view. It hurt, but I knew I had to keep still, as they were only trying to help me, and nothing in this world could possibly be worse than what I went through. I fell asleep.

I’ve heard of that and how painful it is. How did that happen to you?

And the worst pain I have felt was when I ripped off one of my toes by accident and they sewed it back on. That actually didn’t hurt that much, it was the healing back up. Just constant throbbing pain for weeks. I couldn’t sleep and stuff like that and no pain killers seemed to work.

I'm not sure, my uncle thought it might've been the car accident that I caused that same year in February.

But I told him that it was unlikely, since it had been months since that happened, although it may have popped something loose, and made this testicular torsion possible.

I move a lot when I sleep, I may have repeatedly moved my legs over and under eachother, that, combined with something being popped loose during the crash, that may have caused the blood vessels in my tesicles to twist around and around

Yeah that’s how it happened to the guy I know. It happened when he rolled over in bed. I’m afraid of going to sleep.

My surgeon told me there's this bar in there that prevents this stuff from happening that were born with.

It will hold your blood vessels down there in place, preventing them from rotating. Apparently I wasn't born with it

I had to have a tooth pulled. The anesthesia wore off before i could get the pain killer prescription filled. I learned the meaning of the term “blinding pain”. I literally couldn’t see. Everything was a blur. And i kind of wished for death.

and I didn't take a single pain killer either, because I felt like I deserve the agony... lol

Omg I could barely finish this, wow that sounds horrible. So no, permanent damage to said ball? How does testicular torsion happen?

Pancreatitis and appendicitis at the same time. I couldn't breathe or speak but just cried and whimpered.
