+1 yTrump has no interest outside of getting recognition from the "real players". You can't inspire too much loyalty if you are cowardly, His politics are to make life easier for his wannabe colleagues but even they can't stand him. Warren Buffet is a brilliant investor but loathes the new tax laws which only benefited very wealthy. All of the tax breaks to business were voted in and now are part of the law whereas the individual tax laws were brought in at same time by Trumps authorization. Since they are not made as law and they will completely disappear in next few yeara. Many have already expired. . His alleged business acumen have resulted in four bankruptcies already. His lack of understanding on virtually everything could have and already had enormous consequences. He has treated the gov't as his personal rodeo of professionals he believes should he working for him rather than anything that might benefit populace. Hiss personal moral code is ugly yet he seems bro thinks its amusing when he referential his own daughter as e piece of ass. F this country ever tries to heal the the rifts hencreated , Trump needs to go away and be thoroughly repudiated by his current supportngroups. Its an easy out to blame China or North Korea.

+1 yThat’s not what happened, at all. The price of insulin has NOT been “capped”. COPAYS, were capped for medicare patients, and a couple of insurance companies agreed to reduce COPAYS to $35 for insured patients. The actual price hasn’t changed one bit. Uninsured patients will pay as much as they ever have. That also means that TAXPAYERS are going to pay the difference. Medicare is taxpayer funded and the deal with the insurance companies is a subsidy.
Now, if Drumpf did this, the democrats would be screaming about corruption and the evils of capitalism. So why would you expect republicans to be less hypocritical?
Just trolling?11 Reply - 1.8K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic.
+1 yTrump did this deal, it was one of the things he reversed day one in office.
Just like how he reversed the freeze of billions of dollars of money which belonged to Iran. It was sitting parked in another country via order of Trump and the same day Biden froze this exact deal you think he made, he also unfroze Iran's money and of course shortly after a war broke out in Israel.

This is, of course, false. But I'm glad you think it's a good enough thing that you'd prefer Trump got credit for it. I suppose I don't understand why you prefer that. Who gets credit only matters insomuch in who you trust to actually do the thing again. Since Trump is lying about doing it - since the entire republican party voted against it - they are actually going to reverse it the instant they are given the power to do so. Why would you want that? Or if you dont, then it's time to get serious about who actually deserves credit and who opposed it every step of the way. Trying spin fictions so they guy you like gets credit isn't going to change anything that actually happened.
- +1 y
I literally remember reading about it in 2020 lol
In fact if I'm not mistaking it was one of the things he ran on as part of his repeal and replace Obamacare initiative.
You don't remember?
"Obamacare is a failure! I'm going to replace it with success ugghhee success and it's going to be beautiful, we're going to have competition, it's gonna be the best competition, nobody but me can do this"
Or something like that.
If memory serves me correctly, it was incomplete though because he was working on other reforms that were intended to change the landscape in such a way that would force the pharma companies to lower the cost of insulin because he lowered the copay but not the actual price.
I'm guessing as it stands now, the government if footing the difference.
So ya, this has been going on for many years, Biden sure as hell doesn't have the mental capacity to deal with something that complicated anyway. - +1 y
I understand. I'm telling you whatever you read either misrepresented the facts or otherwise didn't convey them fully if you think Trump, or any republican, should have any credit for this whatsoever when they have repeatedly spoken out against the cap and, indeed, voted against it.
- +1 y
OK, so what are the facts then? If this was all Biden why did Trump say he did it?
Why can thousands of people recall and pull up articles talking about $35 insulin from all the way back in 2020?
What people did Biden get together to accomplish this goal? How did the Republicans fight it? Why did Trumps attempt fail?
You don't need to answer all of these but just one or two should be enough to at least have an intelligent conversation. - +1 y
Here’s some stuff just off my twitter feed lol
x.com/.../1799574367770210811?s=46 - +1 y
You can’t even click on a link what makes you think I’m interested in moving forward with someone who is too thick headed to read
- +1 y
You’re too scared to click a link. This is how brainwashed you are. You don’t need an account to view it so that means you didn’t even try.
Is this the same level of vigor you give to researching your political opinions?
You know why I can look at twitter post and know almost immediately if it’s credible? Because I know enough about the landscape to know if it fits.
I already knew about the insulin thing. This whole situation is exactly what I’ve come to expect from the dems. It’s like textbook what they do.
By the way, there’s plenty of liberals using your rhetoric word for word on twitter so I even know you got your info from a propaganda source too.
The problem with you people is that you attach your ego to politics too much and if you turn out to be wrong, you’ve invested so much emotionally into your “team” that you’ve burned bridges, made outrageous claims, hurt innocent people that it scares you that you could be wrong. So you just keep digging in your heels.
Why else would you speak so condescendingly about a topic that all you have to do is click on a link and you’ll see that things aren’t exactly how you say. - +1 y
Whatever man. This is why I hate talking about politics. I’m trying to have a straightforward conversation about one topic and you keep switching it up, looking for a way out. Making claims out of thin air and just trying to make yourself look good by sticking to heard rhetoric.
I don’t really care much that trump did it, it’s more about the fact it’s so obviously his thing, it should be incredibly fishy to Biden supporters that he would freeze it basically right after becoming president and as this conversation is taking place, no one is talking about how good of a job this bill which had been servicing seniors for the past 3 years was doing at making the market more competitive, no one is talking about the financial burden that was placed on the tax payers in terms of a hard number, no one is asking questions they’re just arguing over things that you can just google in 5 minutes.
- +1 y
OK so let's talk politics then.
What would you need to see to be convinced that Trump did it?
Would the taped announcement at the Whitehouse be enough? A Washington post or CNN article? A fact checking site? What would be enough evidence to make you realise this situation wasn't what you thought it was. - +1 y
You never asked a question lmao but ya I think this has been a very educational thread for anyone who reads it
- +1 y
I kinda already rested my case…
- +1 y
What are you, CNN?
- +1 y
Ya, you’re soooo smart with your big brain and capitalization.
You really showed me, cuz you know what you’re talking about sooooo much. - +1 y
Because the credit is kinda the least important part of the conversation. It’s a loaded point because it’s not that I want it to be his thing but it is his thing. That’s what the whole conversation is about. You don’t want to click a link to a site you probably have never really been on but you want to talk about I want it to be trumps thing so bad.
You’re trying to change what the underlying substance of the conversation is. - +1 y
I honestly can’t tell if you’re illiterate or some kind of propagandist
- +1 y
It’s already answered so what is your point?
- +1 y
That’s not the conversation we had lol wtf
- +1 y
It's the only conversation I've been having. You've been trying to have a different one but I haven't been letting you because mostly I just want to draw your attention to the fact that you are adamant about giving Trump credit whether he has earned it or not. That was the point of the question and the only thing I'm interested in discussing here.
- +1 y
Alright, then open the link. Then we can have a conversation about the validity of the evidence.
You can’t just ignore the evidence and then act like you’re the one trying to have a conversation and I’m sidestepping. What do you think about all the articles that say it’s his deal from numerous news sources, what do you think about the White House press release where he announced it and then a lady made a speech about how much she appreciated what he did? What do you have to say about Biden freezing the bill when he took office?
These are all things you can see some amount of evidence for if you click on the links 😂 - +1 y
Meanwhile you’ve shown nothing, you’re all talk and no action
- +1 y
Again, I'm not going to give your misinformation free clicks. And in any case as long as you have admitted you just want to give Trump credit no matter what - even if by doing so you only ensure the thing you are giving him credit for will stop happening - that's all I really wanted to know. Thank you for answering.
- +1 y
What do you do for work?
- +1 y
Engineer. We're very careful to take credit only for precisely the work we did. Otherwise people would come expecting us to be able to help with problems with products we didn't have as big of a role as we claimed, and then we lose the business. That's the way it's supposed to work. Too bad you don't see it that way.
1.4K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Trump originally proposed that executive order in 2020, which Biden froze in 2021.

Whoever told you that must have forgotten to give you a lot of important context. For some reason.

Capping the cost of a medication, simply cuts off any incentive for ANY drug company to develop anything, and not only that, not Biden nor anyone else can regulate what a private company charges for it's products, unless that company survives on government subsidies, and then Bide would be hard pressed to cut off subsidies

There's no need to get frustrated. I'm patient and will wait for you to explain. Or perhaps it's just that you've been beaten over the head with the idea that you should hate Biden no matter what and now that speculation over the possibility that he deserves credit for things is being placed in front of you, you are just trying to be contrary because it feels like the only thing that can be done?
Opinion Owner+1 yI'm black of course I hate all those who campaigned against civil rights in the 60s and 70s.
Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yI get it for free Biden is not A president

Are democrats hypocrites for praising Biden for capping insulin at $35 while remaining silent when Trump did the same thing?
