Men and women are human and, therefore, have similar emotions and needs. To that end, clear, honest, calm, non-judgemental communication is essential. Granted, men tend to be more analytical and literal, and they don't always express their emotions openly. But they do love tenderness and they want to know that they are loved.

Communication between a man and woman is a learned skill.

Sexually, men and women are a bit different, too. Women tend to like romance. Kissing, caressing, emotional connection and knowing that they are desired is the way to get their motor running. They don't always orgasm from penetrative sex, but it feels good and they love the intimacy.

Men like foreplay, too, but it's not always necessary. Sometimes all they want to do is get down to business. And when they do, their goal is to empty their nut.
