After a few weeks, I'm ready to face to face meet.. no expectations of anything just fun and friendly chat , but dating is oversexualized too.. can't do that unless sex is involved

Yup. A lot of my colleagues and I work from home since paying rent for a building seemed pointless. Everyone voted to increase our salaries with the monies saved and remote work means working from anywhere. Sorta boosted work performance and moral.

Why is everything about sex or why do people make it about sex? I don't have nor seeking sex , but hanging out and meeting new people in groups is what I would like to see happen these days and sadly COVID messed that up... I'm not interested in sex with people , but that's what everyone is about mostly

I see. I think it's because sex is a more basic of our needs, compared to companionship. Like, my greatest need is to not get eaten by a hoard of starved raccoons. If you disbelieve me I would ask you to think of one person getting eaten by a hoard of starved raccoons and ask them how low is their priority to not do that. I suspect their answer would at least be in the top ten.

But as long as I have that I can believe that other needs are greater. I just have to have it, first. And I think that's where people are with sex. Pent up for what seemed like a year we have some instability to ride out.

Well people who are like that can. Find that with people who indulge in that lifestyle - I'm asexual and sex isn't y focus or having sex when I meet people. If I were dating she my mate would have to be a virgin or celibate

Yes. You said the groups you try to join don't want to meet in person, that asexual people already know to meet in person, and that the groups you try to join are also asexual. Seems a contradiction.

I have noticed that. Mostly professionally, though. Lots of businesses (law firms, in my case) have chosen to stay remote-ish.

yep... I worked from home for 4 years. I finally went back to my office this year. Thank god because I was starting to go crazy never leaving the house lol
