Of course. Men get screwed all the time on things like this. Even if the wife cheated on him then filed for divorce, because he was married to her at the time he had to pay child support. Maybe if things like this should happen more to women as well, not just men. I don’t agree on the % though that’s for sure. I don’t agree that if a person makes a million a year that child support should be $10,000 a mo th or something. Let’s face it a lot of women see their kids as paychecks. They want more and more to fit their lifestyle, not the kids. The courts should require people receiving child support to provide receipts on what the money was spent on for the child.

No that's fucked up, the only people paying for a child should be the biological parents or whoever adopts them. If you date somebody with children you should not be on the hook for them whatsoever.

Depends on adoption or having an impregnation via semen sample from a donor male / colleague.
It also depends on who is making the most income in the relationship and other factors.

I feel if gays and lesbians want to get married and have all of the same benefits as heterosexual couples. Then any child born or adopted after marriage. Should be considered from the union of the couple.

Lesbian are not required to pay child support as they're not legally seen as being the legal guardian of the child. Only the mother and the father as seen as the gardian and having parental authority the lesbian parent do not exist (at least in France ) if the child do not share her dna. So in this case no need for child support since she have no right or anything on the child. officially he's nothing towards her regarding the laws.

Sure. No child should have a parent who can choose to come in and out of their life. If they once supported they should stay as support. For the child's sake. Doesn't matter gender. in my opinion

If they’re on the birth certificate or registered as a parent/legal guardian, then yes. Doesn’t matter if you created the child, you should still be responsible if you have taken the child on as your own in the eyes of the government.

If both of them were involved in the decision to bring the child into the world then it makes more sense than trying to sue an anonymous sperm donor.
