Based on sleepy Joe's performance on the debate stage the other night, I don't see how insane rational person could be comfortable with that man having the nuclear codes. He is weak and feeble and frail that invites aggression the United States have enemies. Lol that typo is pretty important. But I think changing the candidate due to cognitive issues is smart and healthy. The Dems would win the election by a landslide and we wouldn't have to watch what 4.5 more years of cognitive decline looks like on the poor guy. I don't think they will though. I think that's just a right wing talking point.

The delegates pledged to him are more than enough for the nomination and can't be released from him unless he quits. But since when do the Democrats worry about inconveniences like that? After all, Biden wasn't chosen democratically by them in the 2020 primaries.

I don't think it's going to happen, and honestly I hope it doesn't because the alternatives include a Vice President who I think is terrible. The major issue is keeping the convicted felon out of office, and Biden is still the best option for that at this time.

There are provisions for what might happen but if Biden does not want to give up his delegates there has to be an open convention. I think I heard that it has not happened in many years.
