Trending & News It’s their prerogative, plenty places have a 21 and over policy, in some places you don’t want drunk 18 yr olds interrupting casual chatting etc. some places do 25 and over, although I’m surprised they did not just put a fast rule on both being 30 or 35, I think that’s likely more of a marketing gimmick, as it gets reported in the news.
There may very well be a marketing component to this. Good point.
I get it. They don't want fights and loud douchebag/baguettes ruining the atmosphere. Places used to just overcharge for entry and drinks, but maybe they're trying a new approach and keeping it cheap for older people that aren't rich.
Keen observation! This is the equivalent of the $20 cover to price out the riff-raff.

it does that say that there's a lot more males in their early 30's that are still getting drunk, loud and stupid at these places...
than there are women of the same doing the same...
these policies were reflecting the patterns they've seen, nothing else
It would be nice to have bars that only allow real adults in. The college aged kids kind of ruin a classy/nice vibe
In a lot of small town and specific irish sequence bars its like that
No bar is going to do that, over half the customers are between 21 and 30 if you're taking about a bar in the city.
Go ahead and search that up on your favorite search engine. It will probably never be the widespread norm, but it is in fact happening.
I want women to be drafted into the military, and the age should b 99.
Okay. Interesting reply to interject into the conversation.
Hm. Wonder why they decided to make this rule. What could it be? hmmm.
Most people are over the bar scene by then.
Maybe the pick-up bar scene but plenty of people of all ages enjoy a good night out with drinks & friends.
Oh, that is more pub scenes here. The bars are all the young singles.
I saw this. I am not even sure it is legal.
Sounds like a policy to go broke
But they don't go to bars
