Do you really think Biden makes any actual decisions?

It’s just hard for me to wrap my mind around how someone could watch that man talk and not think Obama or the Clintons or at least somebody is telling him what to do.

Can you really imagine someone explaining the goings on of the war or a foreign national explaining what they need in order to agree to more favorable economic policy with America and he can maintain a consistent train of thought?

Frankly it wouldn't matter who is in office whenever they have a (D) next to their name; the party is always in control, and the seat is occupied by the winner of a public likeability contest.

Most Presidents in the last 100 years don't really control the whole Federal Government.

That is basically impossible after FDR massively expanded it with soo many more powers and responsibilities there simply isn't enough time in the day. So in practice President's only commands (within the limit of the law) what he is aware of which is cherry picked by other people.

Instead to varying degrees presidents basically sit at the head of the train answering the relatively questions that can be brought before them unaware of the vast majority of misconduct out of sight.


Biden being ever more incapable of commanding himself is ever more incapable of answering even those questions but the fact that someone can control those questions and the information upon which he makes the choices. Does indeed limit the harm his poor judgement can have.

But it also means that the people doing that are basically unaccountable as Biden is in an even more diminished position to even figure out they are acting against his interest.

This is why we have seen such radical polities coming out of the Biden administration.

Unlike Obama Biden really was a more moderate democrat in his 50 year political history, very poor in his judgement but not a ractical like Obama. Yet his presidency has been much more radical than you would expect, and did many things that hurt his legacy.

Biden has visited European countries several times now to coordinate common policy towards Russia, negotiate trade or simply for commemorative reasons. Not once did "Obama or the Clintons" sit on his shoulders to tell him what to say or sign. Not once did the European press report any dementia nonsense about the president.

And you realize that all people coming to the White House and other governmental buildings are documented? How would "Obama or the Clintons" run this administration without ever being there?

I don't believe Trump or Biden make many decisions. Biden is senile. Trump spent all day watching TV and rage tweeting every time someone said something bad about him or was waiting for fox news to tell him what to do. He was either busy watching tv, tweeting, golfing and has the attention span of a fruit fly so in both cases, I believe much smarter, more competent people were doing things but luckily for both of them and America, the country largely runs itself because the less either of them are doing the better.

No president makes all the decisions, their cabinet makes the decisions and they sign off on them. No one can be an expert in all areas of public policy and defence. That is why presidents pick trusted advisors. And while Biden isn't making all the decisions, I trust the advisors he has chosen far more than I would trust Trump and those he typically surrounds himself with.

Even if we had a super genius hyper intelligent president I'd prefer they leave much to the experts. I truly hope Biden is doing the same.
