Anonymous(36-45)1 yTimes change. I remember my parents used to take us to a giant park and it was full of people with blankets on the floor. Everyone set on a spot laying down looking up at the sky waiting for the show to start. It was awesome. Surrounded by strangers all waiting for the same thing. Eating stuff and buying glow in the dark necklaces, bracelets, and sticks. With music and everyone having a good time and we would lay there in the dark while the fireworks would start popping nonstop sparkles ✨ all around.
today there’s nothing like that. Thanks to all the psycho mass shooters. Everyone is buying their own fireworks popping them in the street making bbq or pool parties. It’s really not the same as it was before.
I miss the tranquility and enjoyment of before. It’s like dreamlike today. Something from a movie but it was real life.
we had a pool party at our house with homemade hamburgers and hotdogs and chicken and meat on the bbq and then we pooped a bunch of fireworks outside and the slushy man came by and everyone bought slushies.
All the kids having fun in the pool and then watching the fireworks but they have no idea how it was back then. They will never experience what we did. I feel what we had before is the true experience of Independence Day. Where everyone just focuses on the beauty of the fireworks realizing me accomplished something and got out independence.

Hang out with people. I go to the lake in my town, I have to go early because so many people from many other cities come too, and from around the world, and so if you don't go early you can't get to the lake, there's way too many people. People will clog the bridge above the lake. Anyway, the lake is so pretty, it is covered in boats with red, white and blue lights, there are Soo many boats. Then they shoot fireworks from the boats, some of the people do. It shoots above the lake, lighting it up! The town is home to 400 millionaires so they do crazy fireworks. You can see fireworks from everywhere. Huge fireworks! Texans go big as everything is bigger and better here lol. Sorry, I'm bragging on my town. It's so lovely though. If you haven't watched fireworks over the lake or ocean, it's so stunning. They do amazing firework shows in Galveston too. Bbq's are fun as well

This is my 3rd 4th of July since moving permanently to the states. I love to see everyone out enjoying this day with family and friends 🥰. Our group has rented a house and will be enjoying music and food while lounging by the pool! Hope everyone has the best day ☺️

1 yTo remember the main causes of the American Revolution. One of the motivators of the colonists to stand up against the British was the issue of taxes and debt-based central banking which was imposed on them by the foreigners. The same plot is being carried out against the people of the US and most of the people, unfortunately, have no idea what is happening to them. The best they can do is to review their history and see if they are really fulfilling the demands of America's founding fathers.

1 yLook at the history of America, visit a historic sight of the Revolutionary War, read a book involving our independence from Great Britain, research President George Washington, etc.
OR Just enjoy some burgers & hot dogs the American way while sippin’ on beers while fireworks go off in the distance.
Whatever you choose to do is up to you, just be respectful & responsible & have fun 🇺🇸

Anonymous(45 Plus)1 ySpend the bulk of the day in the pool with friends and family, have a cook-out, play cards by the pool, after dinner, go see the fireworks. After the fireworks, grab something else to eat and jump back into the pool.
If there's a girlfriend involved, once else is in bed for the night, take her up to your room, put on some nice music, fuck her brains out, lick her puss `til she cums, too then, snuggle up with her, tell her how much you love her and fall asleep in each others' arms.20 Reply- 1.1K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic.
1 yI love my country, but I haven’t cared for fireworks since I was a teenager. I don’t care for them. Which is funny cause I remember when I was a kid my parents made the point that fireworks are literally like burning money. They cost a shit ton only for 1-3 seconds of entertainment.
Fast forward and as an adult I see it the same way 😂😂10 Reply - 4.5K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic.
1 yHere in Georgia, we are very serious about our BBQ. We light up the sky with fireworks (totally legal), and spend time with family... having said that, I am at work.
I try to talk to people about the meaning of this holiday and how much has been sacrificed.

Will you think about how much has been sacrificed when you'll take a huge dump on the stars and stripes, next November, by voting for trump?
