I want to see fireworks somewhere. I have not gone since before Covid.

I live in Canada and our Canada Day is July 1st rather than 4th. I had a barbecue last night with vegetables from two gardens along with store bought ones, scallop wrapped in bacon, steak, two types of sausages, chicken wings, salmon, chicken skewers, and shrimp skewers, along with pasta and salad with three types of high end oils. There were also 3 types of alcohol served but I went with the Heineken and did not try the expensive shots they did. And I also had ginger ale. We finished with cake and fruit and coffee.
We just arrived in Japan and will be here for 3 weeks. So no fireworks that I know of yet.
we did see an amazing one last summer in France over a beautiful lake.
Hope you get to have some fun!
you can "cheat" by watching a firework video on youtube etc.
@midnightmoon05 I am going to work on Friday so I am staying close to home. Maybe I will go and watch some fireworks.
Probably preemptively working on chores to make the weekend easier. We'll also go go the local parade, grill, and later on watch the greatest movie EVER MADE in the entire history of greatest movies ever made.

Fireworks may or may not happen. We'll see.
My wife will be working so I will be at home, talking to the cat - Uncle Thunder.
Your cat is probably smarter than the AI bots.
@ChinaGrove Uncle Thunder is a rather laid back old cat. He certainly knows to come inside when it's raining! (My profile picture is the dude looking debonair.)
Friend, face it, we are going to lose the battle.

Soon, Uncle Thunder will be able to vote.
Thanks for MHO!

Will be going to some people's house for a cookout. Then to fireworks. There will be six people. I've never met three of them and barely know a fourth. There will be three mixed couples of one American and one Japanese each. Only one of the Japanese speaks English fairly well. It should be interesting.
I was doing a job interview last year for a couple extra bucks to buy a new bike. Forgot it was 4th of July evening when I had a notification I hadn't supplied my recorded interview part of the application. They give you 48 hours. I just started when the neighborhood lit up. It was like being shot at while being asked questions. Freakin' hilarious.
No plans this year. I tend to stay home and blast pirate shows/movies due to our pets.
I'm having a HUGE party (as usual.) and I have my swimming pool, swingset, miniature park set (durable enough for large adults.), a trampoline, a sandpit for volleyball, and a large amount of land open to the people. A large buffet style meal and professional fireworks to finish it off.
Spending it with my parents and other family. Gonna watch a parade, eat some good food and watch the fireworks off in the distance. The only bad thing is, I have to be subjected to their crappy choice in music! 🙄
🤣🤣🤣 I knew you were going to write something sarcastic! I saw your age.
Barbecue and hanging out. Recovering medically. Other years it was a visit to the National Cemetery to honor the fallen.
i thought cemetery was for memorial day?
@strateguy632 No doubt.
first i will battle against the "woke induced guilt" america bad history, overcome it by reasons then,
eat beef franks , listen to navy songs n watch old videos with fireworks.
Watching my neighbors shoot off their fireworks 🎆 They really go all out where I live. I can just watch them in the sky from my patio like I always do. 😎
I'll be working. I already voted by post.
Simples...
I'm not in the United States, so for me it will be a day just like any other.
Probably the same I do any other day of the year except that, if someone's shooting off fireworks, I'll probably go to the corner and watch them.
The beach! Putting on my stars and stripes speedo and wearing it all day!
Family fun at the parents place with the whole family!
Going to a friend's house in the afternoon. Then my daughter is having some friends over, I'll take them on the boat to watch fireworks.
Going to the shore of Lake Superior to watch fireworks.
No plans yet... my wife and I will probably spend a typical day together.
Probably doing yard work. It's just going to be my wife and I. I'll cook dinner on the BBQ grill
5k in the morning, then nada for the rest of the day
I'm going to also take Friday off and I'm going to go and spend 4 days at the beach surfing.
