I mean, assumedly a partner, even just based on the difference in access that a partner would have vs a person who probably isn't around like actual women that often anyway. Not excusing the incel mindset because it's toxic af, but it'd take a lot more doing for someone without regular access to women to actually physically harm them (Act of violence are way more often "heat of the moment" type situations rather than premeditated, which is more likely to happen when there's more access.)
Ideally though, I'd prefer that neither be a threat to my wellbeing please 😭
What is the incel mindset
Based on what I've seen/heard? Mild to severe misogyny, a general resentment of both women in general and men that they deem to be attractive enough to be desirable to women, a moderate desire to restructure society in a way that would be more controlling of women in particular (for the individual's benefit), and a general sense of lacking sovereignty/power to change one's own life (accompanied by a degree of self-hatred/severe insecurity). I'm not saying I don't understand why people's experiences have lead them down that emotional path, but it's not healthy for the individual or anyone around them (ex. the occasional resulting violence)
Do you know what the just world hypothesis is?
The belief that life is fair and that you get what you deserve. If you're a and person, you'll be punished and if you're a good person, you'll be rewarded in life. If you're struggling in life, you probably deserve it
I mean I'm more on the side of "the universe is random and you just do what you can with what's available to you". I think there are too many good people who go through horrible, horrible things (and too many bad people who end up with a pretty easy ride all things considered) for that mindset to really work for me. But to each their own, I guess?
Logically it doesn't make sense to believe that life acts accordingly based on your morals
That's basically what I just said? Believing that life is fair and that you somehow deserve all the events that occur really doesn't make sense. The universe is pretty solidly random (or at least "unpredictable") at a quantum level, so I don't see how some sort of ordered karma could spring up at higher levels of organization/perception.
(Does this still pertain to the original question or are we talking about something else entirely?)
True and because of this i really dont believe in karma
I think first we have to establish what an "incel" is. This is an umbrella term used to describe guys that can't get laid. But I would wager the majority of incels are harmless. It's the few nut jobs that understandably can't get laid either, and act on thier feelings of rage about that that taint the whole group of incels.
So to answer your question, "No", a woman isn't more likely to be killed by an incel than a partner. In fact I'd say the odds are better than avg. That she's more likely to be killed by her partner as her partner is probably more likely to have more skin in the game, more feelings, and more commitment to deadly solution to any I'll feelings.
ill feelings*
I think women are more likely to be killed by their partner. I remember hearing that somewhere.
Incels usually just complain online.
You're not wrong. Fbi stats will show you that
Likely a partner who otherwise is an incel
If they're in a relationship, they're not an incel
Women aren't dating incels. You are misinformed on what the word actually means
Yeah he can't attract any women or get into any relationship. A partner isn't an incel
That word gets thrown around for any guy that does bad things even when he's not an incel. What would he have been called if the word incel didn't exist
Exactly. Meaning you hear a new buzzword and start calling every unsuccessful guy that even when you don't know why they're an incel
I identify as a realist
