What do you think about the Trump shooter Thomas Crooks being cut from a rifle club for being a comically bad shot?

He gets booted out of a club and so he... takes a shot at the former President? Did Trump have anything whatsoever to do with his being kicked out? For that matter, wouldn't being a bad shot mean you need the kind of help that a club could give you? Or am I misunderstanding what gun clubs are about?

I mean, John Hinkley decided the best way to impress Jodie Foster was to shoot President Carter, and then switched to President Reagan, figuring that wouldn't make any difference, which by itself shows that he was a total nut; maybe this guy is the same? Well, hopefully...

He was booted for much more than that. He was booted for being "dangerous with the gun." Bad aim can be fixed with some practice and coaching and you usually don't get banned for that. He got pernamately banned for unsafe weapon's practices. Either way, I agree. It's hard not to at least snicker at that

I think that rules out the theory that this was staged, as there is no way Trump would take the risk. Though, it's still possible the far right arranged it somehow.
