Not to be a conspiracy theorist but how does a random man openly walks across an open mostly empty field with almost no buildings at all carrying a rifle then climbs up a roof of a structure proceeds to set himself up to shoot while secret service agents are directly looking in his direction and only shoots back once he shot towards the ex president?

The secret service is controlled by homeland security which is controlled by the executive branch of the government.

Do you seriously think there was an inside job by the government currently in charge that wants Trump dead?

No. I mean, we have very limited information and it’s important to not start jumping to conspiracies over reality. So I can’t really say for sure about anything, but from what information we have, the shooter was a Republican on the voter rolls, former classmates seem to say he was conservative, others mention he was bullied, others said he loved guns.

This all tracks with your more-often-than-not profile of a mass shooter in this country. He lived with his parents, so it’s more likely they were theirs, but neighbors have said the home had Trump signs on the lawn in the last few years.

But this kid just gives off shooter vibes all the way. He’s just a nut, it’s no indictment on the Republican party. But the right wing just INSTANTLY started trying to blame this on liberals or the Democrats or Biden himself. Insane shit. Couldn’t just say “wow, that was crazy, glad Trump is ok, thoughts and prayers to the bystanders killed or injured.” Nope, absolutely HAD to spin it into a conspiracy for political advantage, in the face of the left wing pretty universally putting politics aside and showing humanity and compassion for the fucked up event that just took place. I was stupid to believe for that few minutes that maybe people would take a breath and be like “WHOA…. let’s maybe just keep all this bickering in perspective, we almost saw a man die on camera, regardless of how we feel about him as a politician. This is bigger than that. But Republicans WEREN’T bigger than that, lmfao, and immediately started manufacturing conspiracies to cover every angle to blame everyone but the right wing, especially ironic not only because of the seemingly apparent political leanings of the shooter, but also because they kick and scream to let them keep the very rifle that almost separated Trump’s brain from his skull.

And while I’m glad Trump wasn’t badly harmed, it is outright COMICAL that people are acting like Trump is badass because the shooter missed. Acting like he saw it coming and dodged that shit in slow-mo like The Matrix😂😂😂 If you’re in the crowd and a Trump fan, I get it, I’d be hyped after a scare like that and he signaled he was alright, if that was my guy. But this hero status he’s getting is ridiculous. Also, no disrespect to the gentleman in the crowd who was killed, but I had to roll my eyes when he was being memorialized in an interview with a former co-worker from his old firehouse, and this dude said “he took a bullet for our President.”……bro. No he didn’t. He didn’t see it coming and dive in front of Trump. He was a victim of a very tragic case of a stray bullet. I get that the guy is probably emotional and just going over the top, but I’m happier times, I’m probably hearing that dude talk and thinking “you’re in a cult, man. You’ve lost sight of reality.”

So, whatever you think about the assassination attempt, don’t let anyone say anything about the left wing in the same breath, they’re completely uninvolved. Can’t pin this one on them without leaving reality. If it was an inside job, it was one in the sense that a Republican did it, but most Republicans I know don’t like Trump. I’m not saying most Republicans, just most Republicans I know, but they’re out there, is the point.

But if I’m guessing, this was just a weird kid with problems who probably did this for attention. I’ve even heard a take about how right wing voices like Alex Jones are basically saying Trump is good but not great for the agenda they’re pushing for, and that if Trump is assassinated, the left will lose big, as the green light will now be given to assassinate the members of the alleged “Deep State” (lmao), so there’s a theory that this kid may have been more extreme than Trump and wanted to usher in this open season supposed nefarious actors in the government.

But I think it was just a looney toon trying to do some crazy shit to get noticed and maybe suicide-by-cop.

Result- The US is fucked

Scenario 4, Side Unknown facilitated directly or indirectly the attempt

Result - The US is fucked

Scenario 5, It was random nutter and a complete disaster from start to end, zero situational security before the event, during the event and afterwards. Pathetic on the ground checks even of a basic nature. They could not even get over the fence after the attack, no one had even planned basic ingress and egress requirements. This stuff is not hard, it is very basic, check line of sight for firearms, check area outwards in 50m circular zones for personal and car/ truck bombs, check run corridors for knife attacks, then put something in place to combat each.

The Result - The security and police are fucked, training and awareness is fucked, basic common sense for those doing security is fucked.

I hope if anything it just comes down to pathetic on the ground planning, however I do not know about the US, that type of event is reviewed separately as a belts and braces approach to ensure the plan is suitable and that a question and answers session ensures all avenues have been explored.

I do. I refuse to believe that so many absurdly dumb failures all happened at one time to allow an arrogant idiot who got spotted and pointed out by bystanders to get that close, and everything Kim Cheatle says to make excuses for decisions made is digging herself and the agency deeper into a hole. This in itself is a huge problem because it's overwhelmingly clear that these feds are more concerned about preserving their own image and careers than being competent. Furthermore, the sniper who apparently had spotted the shooter long before he started shooting didn't take him out until he had fired ~8 bullets. I said from day one that the sniper team needs to be isolated somewhere and interrogated because their story does not pass the sniff test. I've heard at least a couple unconfirmed claims that the sniper who took the shot has been put on leave and being kept away from any sort of questioning. My tinfoil hat bet is that this individual (who is part of the uniformed division rather than the regular protection detail that is allegedly very loyal to protecting Trump) deliberately allowed shots to be fired. There are multiple other individuals who made catastrophic "mistakes" but this is one that has been actively lied about, because the claim that he was waiting for "authorization" is also bullsh*t, and this one could've also effectively negated all of the other failures up to this point.

It also helped a lot that the shooter was a moron and went for the head instead of upper chest, and likely didn't have his rifle zeroed. Assuming that the ballistics graphic going around the last couple days is legitimate, the first three rounds actually had a pretty tight grouping.

We know he was casing out the place 3 hours before the rally started and the Secret Service watched him but did nothing. We know a cop came to look at the ladder and he threatened him with his gun half an hour before the shot was taken and the cop backed off but did nothing. We know the Secret Service was watching him via their snipers for 20 minutes before the shot was taken. It wasn't until he actually shot the former president that anything was done.
I don't know why this happened, but Occam's razor certainly indicates it was not an accident

If anyone with any real authority wanted Trump dead, then he would be dead.

The reason the snipers took a second to react is because they were not looking at that roof AT ALL. That was not their responsibility. They were a sniper team, they are looking much further than that distance. Those buildings and the roof falls within the ground teams responsibility.

Those snipers on the roof were trying to spot targets 2x or 3x further away and had to quickly re-adjust once they realized there was a target closer by.

As for why no one stopped him? Pure coincidence. Most of these assassination attempts tend to just boil down to blind luck/unluck which is why it is so difficult to protect someone against a suspect that was just really lucky that day.

It has the signs for it to be possible. I'd say call it an inside job if the secret service fails to properly explain why they failed that badly. If the explenation makes no sense it probably is but its to soon. I hope the right details will surface to proof or disproof this. For now I keep all options open.

I don't think it's an inside job. Mistakes were made, some justifiable: smaller than desired Secret Service presence for an outdoor event, emphasis on watching he tree line where they thought an attack was most likely, hesitation that maybe the guy was just taking pictures, to name a few.

Actually the Secret Service isn't controlled by DHS. Before DHS, the Secret Service did the same things DHS does, so they're all trained that way, but they're a different branch.
The shooter should have been stopped beforetge attempt, but aiming a gun is not actually illegal. If I aimed a gun at you it wouldn't be illegal. Only if I threatened you with it. Trump didn't know gun was aimed at him, so he was not threatened by it. Until he was shot at, no law was being broken.
