Was it even an assassination attempt? I heard it was just a guy who happened to be on/near on the same golf course who just happened to have a gun. Secret service opened fire on the them and ran them off. No shots were fired directed at the former president.

Admittedly, I am only hearing this secondhand and I am not well informed on the subject. Just seems really ambitious to me to call it an assassination attempt when it was just a guy nearby who happened to have a gun on his person 🤷🏻‍♀️
