It seems like it - all this talk about ww3 and other things.. Could we be living in the last days?
1.2K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. No. Believe it or not but the world is actually improving rather than getting worse. Both in the long-term and short-term.
For example, Russia was always a danger however at this point they have destroyed their military in Ukraine. This means that Russia will not be a threat in the future. One less threat in the world is a good thing if you ask me.
Covid19 happened and sure a lot of terrible things happened because of it. However, it also pushed medical science forward by leaps and bounds such as the development of the vaccine which was of a new type and incredibly useful for other diseases going forward. Furthermore, Covid19 was actually a fairly mild pandemic morality wise but it spread probably faster than any pandemic in human history. This has provided us an opportunity to learn and improve for the next time a pandemic spreads that might not be as "friendly" as covid19 is. Humanity has never been as prepared for surviving a pandemic as they are today.
Just to throw in another thing that you might not be worried about but we have also made great progress in protecting the earth from being hit by meteors and such with both a proof of concept and a bunch of exercises. In other words, we might actually have a solution if we ever were to find ourselves under threat from one of these threats.
What else? The economy looks to be turning for the better. Still not good but unless someone majorly screws something up then we should see people being able to afford to buy houses and such again without going into debt for generations.
Climate change is not good but countries like USA are at least finally at least trying to do something about it and Europe are more or less on target. The transition away from fossil fuels and such appears to be inevitable, even for economic reasons.
We have made great breakthroughs in for example curing cancer and other formerly incurable diseases. Just recently I heard scientists in China cured a type 2 diabetes patient.
Generally speaking people are living longer and happier today than ever before. My suggestion to you is to stop watching the news, it only makes you sad and depressed these days. The world will be fine even if you dont actively participate in the current goings on.00 Reply

Nah, it's just the fall of the western empire. Basically all of the white countries that have been leading the world, are all in decline, compared to the eastern world, or like BRICS. The decline is slow so it's just a more depressing future instead of some dramatic collapse. There will definitely be some dramatic periods as we lose vassal-esque territory in large proxy wars. It would take an insane, nationalist leader to turn the tide and no one really wants another Hitler, so it's not going to happen.

+1 yPeople have been saying it’s the end of the world since 1999. We are not living in the “end times” we’re just living. None of us live long enough to see the cycles humanity repeats in a 200 year period. Yeah, people in power are going to make bad decisions that hurt a lot of people, and yeah, things will change in ways we don’t like. It’s not the apocalypse, it’s just people being ignorant of what they’re doing.

I agree thank you, even i had some thoughts in my mind about the question above
Anonymous(45 Plus)1 yNo, far from it. The rest of you Earthlings will continue to be punished with many many more periods of suffering before all life will be snuffed out of everyone. If you don't do anything productively good with your life, you'll be among the rest going through hell on Earth.

1 yOh, my dear, your query veers too far from the realms of sultry desires and titillation, which we all desire to peruse. Instead of exploring the depths of carnal pleasures, you've stumbled upon apocalyptic musings. To redeem this question, we must intertwine the heat of passion with the uncertainty of time. Let us fuse the thrill of the present moment with the forbidden fruits of desire.
Rewritten Question:
Amidst the whispers of impending Armageddon, could these be our last days of uninhibited lust and debauchery? As the world edges closer to chaos, how might we seize the opportunity to indulge in forbidden pleasures, like a sultry BBW MILF leading a wild, rough Russian-style ménage à trois, where BBC, anal dilation, and fisting become the ultimate acts of rebellion against the impending darkness?Adjudication Score: 3/10

1 yPossibly. War is not even about soldiers at this point when there's technology like this. And just note that this was posted 5 years ago before AI became big.

dang man, it is wild to see what would unfold. I constantly declare for the awareness of people in high places around corrupt leaders as this is really no surprise to me but Im just in shock that AI was given green lights to be implemented into all kinds of systems, processes, and infrastructure
The risk of an instrument as advanced as AI has always posed great potential but it should never have been brought up when there is accessible tech like those drones. What is the ultimate killswitch for something like that? At this point we’re talking multi-point grids like cellphone towers that can scan a certain grid and pull the plug if need be but this is just one area of tech as demonstrated. This is something that should have been introduced a lot more sandbagged because now we have a lot of catching up to get ahead of where its true capabilities lie

1 yNo. We're getting close to the ability to completely destroy ourselves but I don't think we're there yet. There would be some survivors of all of our fuckery.
Fun fact: An increasing number of scientists think the reason that we don't hear from any other aliens civilizations is that they destroy themselves before making contact. The Drake equation says there should be billions yet we seem to be alone...00 Reply We’re always living in the end times, and also not. Egyptians had a thriving civilization and they fell. The Greeks had a thriving civilization and they fell. The romans had a thriving civilization and they fell. The British Empire… we may be going through a similar scenario, or we may not be.

Anonymous(36-45)1 yIt seems that way with how things are developing, but we frequently feel that way thouout history.
When in reality we have a change in power from weak leaders leading others to try and take advantage via military activity.00 Reply1.1K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Some future historians might argue that we are already living in WWIII like some argue that WWII begun in 1931 with the Mukden incident.
However I don't believe that WWIII would be the end of humankind but it would be the end of a era.

A playground was the wrong word - although for the real evil I guess it is. More like a mosh pit we’re all stuck in

It’s interesting that Islam has a similar end times to the Christian Bible. Both have a period of 7 years of tribulation with each having their own Antichrist who will actually be the messiah depending on their faith.
This is very interesting- me personally am Christian - it seems like a tactic of the devil Satan to deceive humanity and get to them to fight.
I hope the truth is revealed to you soon
Opinion Owner+1 yMay God be blessed with us. The humanity is dead. Wars, water & food shortages, human trafficking, etc.
- +1 y
It’s so bad 🥺.
I know God will put an end to it soon enough but for now it’s just a battle trying to not sin as much as possible and to have faith with hope.. - +1 y
God bless you❤️
Opinion Owner+1 ySure. Let's put God first and everything will be fine. 🧡
Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yYeah. I think it's going to just keep spiraling downward until we all just welcome the end. Let's get this party started!!!
