Is the irony of this global technology outage that, in the southern hemisphere, here it's bitterly winter. In the northern hemisphere (and jealously some people on holidays/vacation from the south up there enjoying summer Europe summer America's) lol - this global tech outage has kind of irony to it ; people's plans ruined again by, not Covid this time, yet by technology. Lol. Is that, irony? After all, I've been working, just like the rest of you, not out enjoying European vacations or American summer bliss. Lol 🌞⛱️ irony? Ah well. Anyways, I'm back at work in a week.

No that’s not the irony of it.

the real irony is the the entire outage was due to an application designed to protect against organisations having this type of outage from Cyber attacks. The falcon sensor is designed to protect systems against cyber attacks, instead it crashed them all globally.

That’s not how this works, individual organisations decide what company to use for its protection, it could be Crowdstrike, Sentinel One or others. In this case all those that use the Falcon sensor and were on a windows platform suffered the issue, those using the Falcon Sensor on other platforms were not impacted.

In the end man, are you a jealous type like me who could see the irony side or I'm not affected so much side, if you weren't affected? This was only a test run to get an idea of how we would react to that situation. plus the other outages that will hit all at once to crash our republic for months if not years. This was a test because it was done on a Friday not a day to change things in case it crashed as it did. Wake up America This crash is coming sooner than you think!
