After watching them for over 50 years, I am no fan of Republicans really (although I can appreciate their perspectives on the issues).

However, one adage I have come to realize is true:

If you are a Republican, that doesn't mean that you are racist.
But, if you are racist, then you will vote Republican.

With the triumvirate of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the 24th Amendment in 1964, and Voting Rights Act of 1965, the Democrats (outside the South) completed the abandoned their own racist past. That left the Southern Democrats and the South overall willing to abandon the Democrats who they had supported since the Civil War (since it was the liberal Republicans from the North who destroyed their slave-based lifestyle). So, with the South abandoning the Democrats, the Nixon campaign in 1968 employed the "Southern Strategy" which appealed to White (racist) Southerners but alienated Black Southerners. (After all, it's simple voter demographic mathematics as to why the GOP would do that.) And that's why, to this day, the South is composed of "red states".

And the GOP has never shied away from their implicit racism because it gets them elected. Racist votes count just as much as non-racist votes do...

Now, the GOP as a party will never officially espouse racism and there are plenty of Republicans who are not racist, but their talking points and platforms are often implicitly racist often focusing on minority voter suppression.

You should learn about Lee Atwater, George H. W. Bush's campaign manager in 1988 and a man so vile God took him out. Atwater was diagnosed with brain cancer only 11.5 months after Bush took office and died a year later at age 40 of a miserable disfiguring brain cancer in early 1991 only 26 months into Bush's 1-term administration.

Here's an example of the clever racism Lee Atwater:

You start out in 1954 by saying, "n**, n**, n**". By 1968, you can't say "n**"—that hurts you. Backfires. So you say stuff like forced busing, states' rights and all that stuff. You're getting so abstract now [that] you're talking about cutting taxes, and all these things you're talking about are totally economic things and a byproduct of them is [that] blacks get hurt worse than whites. And subconsciously maybe that is part of it. I'm not saying that. But I'm saying that if it is getting that abstract, and that coded, that we are doing away with the racial problem one way or the other. You follow me—because obviously sitting around saying, "We want to cut this", is much more abstract than even the busing thing, and a hell of a lot more abstract than "n**, n**". So, any way you look at it, race is coming on the back-burner.

I LOVE things like this because I LOVE it when people show their true colors so clearly. It is so wonderful how the true spirit of this political ideology shines through in this very effective effort at communicating to the world the essential nature of this segment of the population and those people who represent them. Does anyone really think this bothers her? I have heard people be petty enough to complain about her "fake" laugh. Well, I got news for ya: The laugh isn't fake, it is very real because she is enjoying herself. And her enjoyment is at no one else's expense because it can't be at their expense when they have served themselves up on a silver platter in such a laughable way.

I believe Kamala Harris can and will win this thing based on the policy accomplishments alone then adding her career, Trump donating written checks to her reelection campaign for attorney general of California, and her past as a Prosecutor against Trump’s past as a convicted felon, civilly liable rapist, cyberbully, business cheat, scammer, and a horrible failure of a President.
