Should I call European instead of white and African instead of blacks?

People call me Asian. It’s where I am originated from. Then isn’t it fair that I call white people as Europeans and black people as Africans?

From an English point of view, if you referred to yourself as Asian, the majority of people would assume you were Indian, Pakistani.
It depends how far back in time you want to go as white people have been living in non European countries on mass for around 300 years, this means multiple generations born in that non European country.

For me if they have a Scouse accent or a Brummie accent I assume they are from Liverpool or Birmingham, I don’t go down the oh you are from country x y z.
There are a large number of non white Europeans living in Europe for a good number of generations, also some are from Asia..

No there's different kind of whites and different kinds of blacks, calling the wrong ones the wrong type of white can piss them off more than just calling them white or black

If it's really necessary people should ask you where are you from instead of calling you "Asian". You might be of Asian descent but that doesn't mean that you were born in an Asian country.

Calling whites "European" and blacks "African" would be wrong too. Not all whites are European and not all blacks are African.

Not all light-skinned people are Europeans and not all Black people are from Africa. I agree with Menina. It would be best to ask, where someone is from than making assumptions about their ethnicity

I think people are where they are from
